Has the Information Highway got you all confused yet!

godWell its the last day of 2012, I just want to put out a little word about this year, or the end of this year, as they say. There has been many discussions on the end of time floating out there. Everyone talking about their beliefs and what they think may happen. I am not sure about yours but here is my thoughts.

The first thought in my mind is to follow the first law of the land that we had, THE BIBLE. Its gives you the beginning of Time and the coming of the end of time. Its tells you that the end will come like a thief in the night. Not sure about you all but I have watched cops on television. Most thiefs sneak in when you are not home and take what they want. They will not knock on the door or announce their presences. I do not think death will as well.

Second known thing is that GOD said that no one will know when it will come. This is in the bible. If it is his will than it will be done. I can not see a preacher coming out and telling everyone that he knows when the end is if GOD says that no one will know. The book of Zephaniah tell of how the end will come.

“I will sweep away everything
from the face of the earth,”
declares the Lord.
“I will sweep away both man and beast;
I will sweep away the birds in the sky
and the fish in the sea—
and the idols that cause the wicked to stumble.”

And then there is Revelation 21 –

Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,”[a] for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. 2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’[b] or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

That is all I need to know about the end of my time on earth. I do not need science, nor the Mayas to tell me anything of what they think is going to happen. If you have not realized it, the bible has given you all the information that you have ever needed to life and or die. Hope you all have a blessed New year and a New Mind to go with that New Year.

Do not enter a 2013 year with a 2012 mind.

NYXToday in church, Bishop TD JAKES gave us a beautiful sermon on stepping into your purpose and not feeling like a child when GOD orders you into your calling. He gives us so much in 90 minutes of his picture perfect teaching. He can really make the bible come to life during all of his illustrations.
While reading my daily devotions today, I also came across” Over planners Anonymous by Suzie Eller”. Here is a small insert of what she said;
” Planning is one of the things I do best. I have my list of things to accomplish every day. I have a list of goals in ministry. I even have a bucket list!

Planning is a good thing, right?

However, as I read those words in my devotional book, the Holy Spirit revealed to me the way I must often appear to my Heavenly Father.

There are so many things I want to do. Instinctively I know that God’s timing isn’t mine, but sometimes my litany of lists are in the hopes that if I work hard enough and plan long enough that God will get on my schedule.

It’s not that planning is wrong. With our busy lifestyles, our lists keep us from dropping off our young daughter in a cowgirl costume at the neighbor’s house … when the party is scheduled for the next Friday (yes, it really happened).

But this was a deeper heart issue. How many times did I plan and plan and plan some more, only to be disappointed as my lists got longer and my goals farther away.

My planning was less about organization, and more about worry. I felt more in control if I made lists because I felt like I was doing something.

I sensed God saying, “Lay it down. All the planning, all the worry about how things will work out.”

In 1 Peter 5:6-7 we are encouraged that, “God’s strong hand is on you; he’ll promote you at the right time.” In the very next verse, Peter warns us to be aware that, “… the devil is poised to pounce…” (The Message)

It’s no accident that Peter shared a promise, but also a warning.

The promise is that God is in control. He knows exactly where He is taking you, and as you trust Him, His promotion may look very different (and far more fulfilling) than your carefully drawn plans.

When we are trapped in excessive planning and things don’t work out the way we want, it can create anxiety, frustration, or anger towards God—all traps the enemy would love to use to discourage and distract us.

I didn’t stop writing lists. They keep me from forgetting what I need to do.

But I have stopped excessive planning.

God’s ways are higher than mine. And if I keep that truth above my planning, then I am open to go in whatever direction God leads.”

Today, I had to look at myself and realize my own faults. Thank you GOD for being in control of my own finances, thoughts, and foot steps. It has taken me a while to understand that some of the things, I have acquired, I really did not need. It was written that the tree of life has to be trimmed in order to grow. The only thing I really had to plan and understand is to TRUST GOD.

“In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.” Proverbs 16:9

Be devoted to one another in love.

NYX“Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.” Romans 12:10

During what’s considered the happiest season of the year, stress levels can be at an all time high. Between coordinating family get-togethers, shopping blow-out sales, and spending time with that relative you might not be friends with if you weren’t related, Christmas can feel anything but merry and the New Year anything but happy. And all that’s pulling at you can make tempers flare and your relationships feel like they’re coming apart at the seams.

For me, being intentional required an apology to the people that are close to me by asking for forgiveness.

Dear Lord, thank You for special relationships. I let my emotional state get the best of me sometimes, but I want You to be in control of how I react. Please give me the spirit I need to build up people around me instead of tearing them down. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

The Lord Promise.

The word of the Lord Almighty came to me.
This is what the Lord Almighty says:
“I am very jealous for Zion; I am burning with jealousy for her. I will return to Zion and dwell in Jerusalem. Then Jerusalem will be called the Faithful City, and the mountain of the Lord Almighty will be called the Holy Mountain. Once again men and women of ripe old age will sit in the streets of Jerusalem, each of them with cane in hand because of their age. The city streets will be filled with boys and girls playing there. It may seem marvelous to the remnant of this people at that time, but will it seem marvelous to me?” declares the Lord Almighty.
“I will save my people from the countries of the east and the west. I will bring them back to live in Jerusalem; they will be my people, and I will be faithful and righteous to them as their God. Now hear these words, ‘Let your hands be strong so that the temple may be built.’ This is also what the prophets said who were present when the foundation was laid for the house of the Lord Almighty. Before that time there were no wages for people or hire for animals. No one could go about their business safely because of their enemies, since I had turned everyone against their neighbor. But now I will not deal with the remnant of this people as I did in the past. The seed will grow well, the vine will yield its fruit, the ground will produce its crops, and the heavens will drop their dew. I will give all these things as an inheritance to the remnant of this people. Just as you, Judah and Israel, have been a curse among the nations, so I will save you, and you will be a blessing. Do not be afraid, but let your hands be strong. Just as I had determined to bring disaster on you and showed no pity when your ancestors angered me,” so now I have determined to do good again to Jerusalem and Judah. Do not be afraid. These are the things you are to do: Speak the truth to each other, and render true and sound judgment in your courts; do not plot evil against each other, and do not love to swear falsely. I hate all this. The fasts of the fourth, fifth, seventh and tenth months will become joyful and glad occasions and happy festivals for Judah. Therefore love truth and peace. Many people and the inhabitants of many cities will yet come, and the inhabitants of one city will go to another and say, ‘Let us go at once to entreat the Lord and seek the Lord Almighty. I myself am going.’ And many people and powerful nations will come to Jerusalem to seek the Lord Almighty and to entreat him. This is what the Lord Almighty says: “In those days ten people from all languages and nations will take firm hold of one Jew by the hem of his robe and say, ‘Let us go with you, because we have heard that God is with you.’”

The Four Pillars of a Man’s Heart.

What kind of man builds a civilization, that out-lasts him? What kind of broad shoulders does it take to be strong enough to build a heritage that stands strong and firm in the winds of time!

– A man of vision and character… a King.
– A man of strength and power… a Warrior.
– A man of faith and wisdom… a Mentor.
– A man of heart and love…a Friend.

It is upon these pillars, the pillars of manhood, that the small civilization we call ” HOME” will either stand or fall.

How can we become what we so deeply need to be? For your family, lover, or just you, please walk with me to see what we might find.

Our children are our salvation and our future.

And when the dragon saw that he had been thrown down to the earth, he pursued the woman who had given birth to the male child. But the woman was given the two wings of the great eagle so that she might fly from the serpent into the wilderness, to the place where she is to be nourished for a time, and times, and half a time. The serpent poured water like a river out of his mouth after the woman, to sweep her away with a flood. But the earth came to the help of the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed the river that the dragon had poured from his mouth. Then the dragon became furious with the woman and went off to make war on the rest of her offspring, on those who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus. And he stood on the sand of the sea.

Our children are our salvation and our future. The devil will try to get to us thru our children. Although you will have those days of disagreement, try to make peace with our children. They have not yet experiences all that you have and do not understand the power of the all mighty. Keep you mind on the word of GOD and let him handle your fights on this earth. Your path has been paved in the place called life. Just live it and show joy in his name.

Regardless of whats going on in your life, GOD loves you.

Jesus_117The Holy Spirit is often pleased, in a most gracious manner, to witness with our spirits of the love of Jesus. He takes of the things of Christ and reveals them unto us. No voice is heard from the clouds, and no vision is seen in the night, but we have a testimony more sure than either of these. If an angel should fly from heaven and inform the saint personally of the Saviour’s love to him, the evidence would not be one whit more satisfactory than that which is borne in the heart by the Holy Ghost. Ask those of the Lord’s people who have lived the nearest to the gates of heaven, and they will tell you that they have had seasons when the love of Christ towards them has been a fact so clear and sure, that they could no more doubt it than they could question their own existence. Yes, beloved believer, you and I have had times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord, and then our faith has mounted to the topmost heights of assurance. We have had confidence to lean our heads upon the bosom of our Lord, and we have no more questioned our Master’s affection to us than John did when in that blessed posture; nay, nor so much: for the dark question, “Lord, is it I that shall betray thee?” has been put far from us. He has kissed us with the kisses of his mouth, and killed our doubts by the closeness of his embrace. His love has been sweeter than wine to our souls.

– Charles Spurgeon

I have had good days and bad ones. Although, I forget at times that he is the true father, I shall never put my faith nowhere else. When I look back at where I have come thru, I know it is only due to him holding my hand. As any child to a parent, I want to thank you for continuosly blessing me and keeping my head in the right place when I knew not what to do.

“Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love.”
